چکیده
Background: Patients with Diabetes Mellitus are more prone to Urinary tract infection (UTI) than non-diabetic patients. has certain negative effects on the genital system and increases incidence of urinary in diabetic Design: Record based retrospective study. Methods: Records patients type-II diabetes having symptoms UTI were reviewed from August 2021 January 2022. Result: Out 210 patients, rate was higher females 59% male 41%. The most common agents for causing E.coli followed by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella spp., Candida albicans non-albicans, Enterococcus, S.aureus other organisms. About 70.68% Gram-negative isolates resistant against ampicillin, 75.17% gentamycin, 48.16% amoxicillin-clavulanic acid. Gram-positive 83.33% penicillin ciprofloxacin. However, both gram-negative gram-positive susceptible nitrofurantoin. overall multidrug resistance observed 201 out (95.71%) bacterial candiduria isolates, while 3.33% one only antibiotic. Conclusion: Most etiological agent is high drug ampicillin Therefore, performing urine culture regular monitoring essential.

Urinary tract infection (UTI) continues to be the commonest nosocomial infection according for approximately 40% of all hospital acquired infections and it is one of the most important causes of morbidity and mortality [1, 2]. UTIs caused by Citrobacter species have been described in 5 to 12% of bacterial urine isolates in adults [3]. The genus Citrobacter is a distinct group of aerobic Gram-ne...
